Join AFP Greater Philadelphia Chapter for Virtual Lobby Week April 26-30

The AFP Greater Philadelphia Chapter (AFP-GPC) is organizing as many members as possible to engage with their federal representatives. Our counterparts from across the country will also participate to ensure our members of Congress are aware of policies that are key to fundraising success and to develop partnerships with our elected officials.

AFP Global is organizing the initiative to:

-Advance key legislation like the universal charitable deduction and the IRA Legacy Act that will increase charitable giving and help fundraisers perform their job more effectively;

-Position AFP-GPC as a resource for members of Congress and their staff;

-Develop relationships with our members of Congress; and

-Engage AFP-GPC members in the public policy process.

Registration is easy! Email [email protected] and please list your name, title, organization, phone number, and Congressional member, and we will be in touch with you.

The word “lobbying” carries a lot of baggage. But really, lobbying is simply meeting with elected officials to have your voice heard. That is why we think it’s time lobbying is put back into the hands of the people. We are calling on our AFP-GPC membership to join us for AFP Virtual Lobby Week April 26-30 to make it easier to talk to your elected officials about key bills that could become law.

Members of Congress hear from charities, associations, and other groups all the time—through phone calls, emails, meetings and other lobby days, and events. Let’s get out there and have our voices heard—please join us for AFP Virtual Lobby Week!
