“The best thing to give to your enemy is forgiveness; to an opponent, tolerance; to a friend, your heart; to your child, a good example; to a father, deference; to your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you; to yourself, respect; to all men, charity.”

Benjamin Franklin

Working in a small development office often means you need to have all of your fundraising tools at the ready because you do it all - Annual Fund, Major Gifts, Communications, Marketing, Grants, and more. Can you escape inevitable burnout and missed opportunities? Are there ways to remain strategic without falling to the tyranny of the urgent?

As a fundraising generalist discover the opportunity it brings to broaden your skills, deepen your passion to serve, and find unique opportunities for growth.

The foundation for success as a fundraising generalist in a small fundraising environment of 1-5 fundraisers is in level loading your work. Level loading refers to being able to complete tasks on available resources equally. Do away with being "busy" and focus on planning your work so that 90% of your time requires the same level of investment and success rather than operating with "busy seasons" and "easy seasons". Discover a new approach to doing it all

This Session will explore:

1. Strategies to evaluate opportunities and projects

2. Creating strong KPIs and internal communications with your leadership

3. Tools for project management and making sure it all gets done

4. Ways to prevent burnout - leveraging volunteers, self care, and boundary setting
